Lady Omega

• Since I was a child, I liked to draw a lot and took great interest in mythology, astronomy, science fiction and languages.
• Due to the malfunctioning of my left brain hemisphere i couldn’t become an astronomer and had to limit myself to just enjoying the magical world of science from the books, going to art school, dance lessons, piano, making toys and going to high-diving courses-( I sucked badly at the diving and stopped going there very soon).
• Also, as a child, I learned many languages, now I speak 5 – English, Russian,Ukrainian,Hebrew and German. I got an M.A. in Cognitive Studies of the Language and a B.A. in English teaching.
• My job experiences were pretty versatile: I worked as an interpreter in a nuclear weapon demolition program in Russia, as an English teacher both private and school, at a car-spray-paint shop, at a music store, at a psychiatric hospital and privately with mental patients, as a hotel receptionist, as an internet tech support , at an agricultural machinery company as an interpreter again, as an exam supervisor, as a book editor, as a security person, and at an art gallery selling paintings. Nowadays my work is limited just to design and music.

Design

• My design career started when I got interested in Photoshop, bought myself a book and learned from it. After that I got interested in web design as well, made my first lame web site in Frontpage and immediately realized how bad it is and how much I had to learn. Since then, I’ve been learning and perfecting my skills in both graphic and web design. I certainly do not use Frontpage anymore. And I also have a subscription to Computer Arts magazine.
• So far, my works were featured at CSS Mania, Light On Dark, Screenfluent, CSS Based, Most Inspired, 68design.net, CSSclip, Designmeltdown, CSS glance, CSS Bloom, Morpheed CSS and The Daily Slurp.

• I have my own little design company, which is doing rather well. I work a lot with web design currently, but I also plan on going more into character design and video. Photography is also one of my passions.
• My design skills : Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Flash, Swish, Adobe Dreamweaver, Freehand, Microsoft Frontpage, XHTML, CSS, some PHP and Javascript. I design various sites, skins for Joomla, Wordpress and other CMS, eCommerce, forum skins, CPanel skins and more.

Music

• Living in the Soviet Union was hard. I always wanted to be involved in the music industry, but, due to where I lived, it was absolutely impossible. I’ve always been into music, listening to it more than everyone else around me did, and, luckily, I was able to travel a bit at that time, so I could buy some tapes/cds/videos and be proud and happy to own them.
• When I moved out of the Soviet Union, I got more access to what I wanted and by now I’ve participated in a couple of projects, I sing in a band, and did an artwork for a black metal cd , which was recently released worldwide. Kaiaphas, the band I am a member of was featured in the biggest gothic magazine in Europe – Orkus, and in some other zines as well. We’re working on our debut album at the moment.
• My music skills: I sing, play keyboards, piano, I enjoy dj’ing at different parties (and i beatmix – sadly, not everyone does ), and i also work with Ableton Live.

Other stuff about me:

• I have extraordinarily awesome poetic skills, especially in Russian, but the poems I write would be considered improper and nasty.
• I believe that everything is possible if you put your will, mind and action to it.
• I was a comedy play writer during my university years and ppl loved the plays.
• I have a reasonable amount of knowledge in occult and mysticism so beware!
• I wrote a study book for elementary schools in the Ukraine, illustrated it and it got released.
• Most of all I hate 3 things – (03) cold, (02) internet explorer and (01)religious fanatics.
• I support openmindedness in most of its’ manifestations.
• I change my hair color very often.
• After a decent period of confusion, torment, stupidity, tomfoolery and what not – the Life/Gods/Aliens/the Great Eagle/Fate unexpectedly granted me with the one and only true soulmate. Therefore, I believe in miracles.
• I love traveling and exploring new places. So far, I’ve been to Russia (naturally), Ukraine England, Israel, Bulgaria, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Canada, Italy, Brazil, America, Palestine, Switzerland, Germany, Malta, and there are many more places to go on my list. I lived in Brazil from 2004 until 2007, then another 2 years in America and right now I am in the process of moving to Europe via Israel.
• I have a strong interest in eastern philosophy, yoga and alternative ways of healing.

• Movies – I’ve always been into movies as well. I watch a movie every day. Favorite movies – Baraka, 2001, Tommy, The Golden Child, Angelheart, Jesus Christ superstar, the Fountain, Dreams (Akira Kurosawa), The Pick of Destiny, Company of Wolves, Beetlejuice, Labyrinth, Amadeus, Evil Dead, Clockwork Orange, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Suite #16, Shadow of the Vampire, Rosemary’s Baby.
